Service Flags Of United States Armed Forces

Display your support of family members serving in our U.S. Armed Forces.

A BLUE STAR Flag represents a family member currently serving during any period of war or hostilities for the duration of such hostilities.

• A GOLD STAR Flag represents a family member who died during military operations

• A SILVER STAR Flag indicates a service member who has been disabled.

Display Rules of Service Flags:

• In front windows or doors of homes
• In windows or doors of offices
• In windows or doors of organizations: churches, schools, colleges, fraternities, sororities, societies and places of business with which the member in service was or is associated.
• Flags are to be displayed on the inside NOT the outside of windows or doors.

Who Can Display Service Flags:

• Immediate family members: wife, husband, mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, Parent through adoption, foster parents, grandparents...
• Service members': children, step children, children through adoption, brothers, sisters, half brothers and half sisters.
• To include all active and reserve duty military personnel c urrently in service to their country.

When To Display Service Flags:

• Displayed during the duration of any war or armed conflict.
• Can be displayed with the American Flag but the American Flag must take the place of greater prominence.
